At ARC, we don’t just put words on a banner—we live out our values. Since "Family" is at the core of who we are, we’re excited to announce the launch of ARC Co-Op, a homeschool community that partners with families to provide children with a biblically grounded and historically accurate education from kindergarten to middle school.
Whether you’ve been homeschooling for years or are just getting started, ARC Co-Op is here to support both your child’s education and your role as a teacher. This is more than a school—it’s a community where parents, children, and educators come together to grow, learn, and build a citywide impact that honors God.

Kendra Thomas
Kendra’s passion for educating the next generation runs deep. As the first legal homeschooler in America, her story has opened doors for educational freedom across the nation. After her mother, Elaine, made a successful plea to the Barnstable Public School District, Kendra and her sister Kim were granted legal permission to homeschool—the first legal approval for homeschooling in America. This pivotal moment changed education for families in their state and beyond.
With homeschooling now legally recognized, Kendra devoted herself to showing others how this educational path could be accessible and transformative. Her mission is to empower families, ensuring that children receive an education rooted in both academic excellence and biblical values.
As a passionate writer, Kendra is eager to help children discover the importance of reading, writing, and building a strong foundation in Scripture. She’s excited to partner with families in Brevard County, guiding children through their homeschooling journeys and fostering a lifelong love of learning.
Kendra can’t wait to meet you and help your children thrive through homeschooling!
The Bible says, "Write the vision and make it plain, so others can run with it." We believe in the power of this dream, but we can’t do it alone. We’re calling on families who share our passion to partner with us—whether through financial support or hands-on involvement. This isn’t a drop-off service—it’s an opportunity to actively engage in your child’s education and be part of a God-honoring, educational community.Ready to join us on this exciting journey? As we begin this exciting journey, we're currently offering classes from Kindergarten to Middle School. However, if you feel called to lead education for infants or high schoolers, we'd love to have that conversation and explore the possibilities together!
We’re excited to offer a homeschool collaborative education program, where parents actively participate in their children’s learning journey. Yes, that means your involvement is essential! We know that as parents, you may feel you’re missing a few tools or resources for a well-rounded education, and that’s where we come in. We’re here to partner with you every step of the way, working hand-in-hand to build a strong educational foundation for your kids.
Our heart is to provide a free educational resource for families of all kinds. This program is entirely volunteer-driven, with no paid teachers or administrators, as it’s run by parents and community members. There may be class fees to cover supplies, along with an annual building and cleaning fee to ensure a safe, clean, and supportive learning environment. We’re committed to keeping costs reasonable while creating a space where our kids can thrive.
